I've been looking in the market for a new computer speakers after my Razer Mako 2.1 system had died. I was looking for high end speakers that could replace them and decided to go the HIFI route rather than just looking at commercial systems. Originally I looked at the B&W (Bowers and Wilkins) MM-1, Audioengine A5+, and Bose C5 (Companion 5) speaker systems. The MM-1 and A5 did not have the bass I was looking for, but then the associate suggested these speakers since they come with a sub-woofer out. Although the bass may be weak on their own, coupled with a proper powered sub-woofer they are amazing! The sound clarity is superb compared to the other three and the price point is excellent as well. I highly recommend it to anybody who is looking for a versatile desktop speaker system.
