I received these speakers today and have started listening through BT and am blown away by the sound quality. It creates a perfect phantom center stereo image and punchy bass, especially when you start to crank them up. I can't imagine needing a sub for my setup. Very impressed and pleased with my purchase. Next step is running them from my WiiM mini > DAC > 3.5mm AUX input and getting them up on stands so they're at ear height.
